Human has closed circulatory system. in this type of circulation of blood, the vessels are not directly contacted with the cells and feed the cells by extracellular fluid. Now, how does the blood flow to the endocardial layer(the endothelial cells) of the heart that doesn't have extracellular fluid? I read somewhere that "the blood in the heart itself can feed them", but how much is this sentence true while we're saying that the extracellular fluid is going- between the blood and cells? :/
